Rocket Science Improv Post-Independence Day Extravaganza

The Rocket Science Improv Show is back and here to help you continue to celebrate the Fourth of July weekend. On Saturday, July 6th, 6PM at The Improv Space in Westwood, we invite you to come out for some fireworks*. We’re extremely excited by these teams, two of which are brand new to the Rocket Science stage.

Blockbuster is back. This team performs a condensed BLOCKBUSTER movie that has never been seen before – live! No computer-generated imagery, no pyrotechnics, no special effects; just the raw intensity of your favorite Hollywood movies.

Cobranauts – Westside Comedy Theater’s longest-running house team, the Cobranauts are the sick mind-child of a mad scientist of comedy who created space bound snakeazoid-people-astronaut-things. Now they roam the galaxy doing improv and looking for intelligent life, to bite in the face. Featuring Jennifer Cowan, Al Garcia, Mary Gutfleisch, Jen Parker, Cole Stratton, Timmy Tamisiea, Jon Thompson, Patrick McIntyre, and Morgan Christensen

Rules of Thor is owed a round of congratulations. Team member Jeff Skinner came to our last show, entered his team, and BAM here they are a few weeks later. This Westside Comedy Theater Alley Team threatens to bring the hammer down. The Comedy Hammer. This troupe features: David Doman, Sean Grant, Kelsey Greathouse, Shani Kfir, Jeff Skinner, Josh Spence, Jeremy Weinreich, and Louise Woods. They are coached by Holly Brown.

PLUS: We’re doing a drawing again! Any audience member (who is not in that show’s line-up) can enter their name and the name of their team into a drawing. We will draw one name and the team they nominate will be invited to appear in the very next Rocket Science show on July 20th with Blockbuster and Hometown. Do you want to get your team more stage time? Do you have an indie experimental improv show you want to put up? Drop your name into the bucket and you might just find you and your improv team on stage two weeks later on 7/20. Bonus: you’ll get to see this fantastic show.

Keep in mind that The Improv Space has a very liberal libations policy. So if you want to bring in your summertime beverages or your pre-grilled BBQ, you are welcome to do so. See you Saturday!

*Please note all “fireworks” will be IMPROVISED fireworks, per the LA fire marshal.
