The Rocket Science Improv Show is back at The Westside Comedy Theater in Santa Monica! We always bring a collection of the finest indie improv teams to this theater every first Thursday of every month from 11PM to 12:30 PM. THIS Thursday, September 5th at 11 PM we invite you to come see three teams that are guaranteed to blow your mind.
Dub Set, Tangled Kites, & Blockbuster
Blockbuster will perform another condensed BLOCKBUSTER movie that has never been seen before – live! No computer-generated imagery, no pyrotechnics, no special effects; just the raw intensity of your favorite Hollywood movie.
Tangled Kites is a fan favorite from our Westwood show. This three-person squad trained at UCB and iO. They can be counted on to play grounded scenes with surprising games.
Dub Set typically plays at The Pack Theater in Hollywood, but we’ve been able to entice them over to the Westside. Dub Set does all-dubbing long-form improv! Their cast is made up of professional VO actors and improvisers.
Tickets are just 6 bucks and the Westside Comedy Theater has a wide selection of beer and wine.
WAIT! IS 11 PM PAST YOUR BEDTIME?
Well, we are still doing The Rocket Science Show at The Improv Space. On Saturday, September 7th, 6PM at The Improv Space in Westwood, we invite you to enjoy three other exciting indie teams who all have their roots in the Westside.
Rico Suave This fantastic 2-person team features the talents of Curtis Davis and Robert Rico. They have been absent as a duo since Robert has been touring with Mission Improvable and Curt has been producing shows all over L.A. We’re excited to host the reunion of these two crazy folks.
Vanguard is back. At this point we consider these folks “Friends of the Show.” They have appeared in more than 15 Rocket Science shows over the last couple years and are incredible performers. This time around they have invited special guest Steven Whittle.
Blockbuster is also in this show. This team performs a condensed BLOCKBUSTER movie that has never been seen before – live! No computer-generated imagery, no pyrotechnics, no special effects; just the raw intensity of your favorite Hollywood movies.
PLUS: We’re doing a drawing again! Any audience member (who is not in that show’s line-up) can enter their name and the name of their team into a drawing. We will draw one name and the team they nominate will be invited to appear in the very next Rocket Science show on September 21st with Blockbuster and Super Pun Shout.
Do you want to get your team more stage time? Do you have an indie experimental improv show you want to put up? Did your WCT Alley Team get split up and you want to play together again?
