Free, Hot, Improv – July 14th

The Rocket Science Improv Show returns on Saturday, July 14th, 6PM at The Improv Space in Westwood with a CALIENTE, free improv show featuring some of our favorite improv teams. Three great improv teams will light up the stage with performances based on your suggestions. It may be hot out on the streets, but these teams are totally cool.

Room 604 features Jerry Witt, Mark D Allen, Breeze Geier, Miranda Shade, and Jon Thompson. Room 604 plays a brand of Close Quarters Improv that takes you to the heart of any city or town. The entire show is based on your suggestion of a business or location that you can find in your home town. They’ve taken audiences to gas stations, post offices, day spas, and dive bars. Come see where they’ll take audiences next.

Vanguard We like this team so much that we’ve asked them to co-host with us on the second Saturday of every month. This team grew out of Jay Sukow’s Level 701 Ensemble class at the Westside Comedy Theater. They stuck around with each other and continue to rehearse together and put out a consistently enjoyable show.

Feral Children is a team formed from students at UCB and coached by Naomi Villa. The team features Dayo Adesokan, Cailey Follet, Maxwell R. Kessler, Jonathan Payne, Alan Santiago, Andrew Santiago, and Katey Zouck. They are a dark comedy improv group, obsessed with Film Noir. So you know their performance will be riddled with unrequited love, betrayal and revenge.

This is going to be a super-fun show. You owe it to yourself to be there.
