The Rocket Science Improv Show is back and here to continue your summer celebration. On Saturday, July 20th, 6PM at The Improv Space in Westwood, we invite you to enjoy three exciting teams and three unique styles of improv. We’re extremely excited by these teams, one of which is a world premiere.
Blockbuster is back. This team performs a condensed BLOCKBUSTER movie that has never been seen before – live! No computer-generated imagery, no pyrotechnics, no special effects; just the raw intensity of your favorite Hollywood movies.
STEMprov is an experimental improv show from the twisted mind of Steven Whittle. This show will feature improvisors playing in the area of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. They will be inspired by a a monologist’s anecdotes about the role STEM plays in their lives.
Hometown is back! They create a brand-new town and all the strange people in it. They’re known for patient, character-based play, making bold choices and creating strong relationships in their improv. But you know what? They’re also not afraid of bursting into song if the occasion calls for it! Hometown features Erika Godwin, Jesse Durant, Kristen Henley, Catherine Law, and Sean Harrigan. They are coached by Holly Laurent.
PLUS: We’re doing a drawing again! Any audience member (who is not in that show’s line-up) can enter their name and the name of their team into a drawing. We will draw one name and the team they nominate will be invited to appear in the very next Rocket Science show on August 3rd with Blockbuster and Vanguard. Do you want to get your team more stage time? Do you have an indie experimental improv show you want to put up? Did your WCT Alley Team get split up and you want to play together again? Drop your name into the bucket and you might just find you and your improv team on stage two weeks later on 8/3. Bonus: you’ll get to see THIS fantastic show.
