Rocket Science back at The Westside with Genre-prov

The Rocket Science Improv Show is BACK once again at The Westside Comedy Theater in Santa Monica! This Thursday, October 3rd at 11 PM we have created a carefully curated selection of top-notch entertainment. We have three improv teams that perform improv in a variety of genres.

Three amazing teams performing shows featuring your favorite genres.

The Class Menagerie is an improv team that features many of your favorite players from the Westside Comedy Theater. They perform a show infused with the slow southern drawl of Tennessee Williams. They parody the recurring themes and story arcs in one Mr. Tennessee Williams’ Southern melodramas. Their improvised one-act play starts with a title of your suggestion. “Now you won’t you join us? We sure are lonely up here on this hot tin roof.”

The Show That Shall Not Be Named is a wizarding themed improv comedy troupe from Los Angeles. But they have played comedy festivals and conventions all over. Each show tells a completely new story, made up on the spot based on the wizarding world and YOUR suggestion. The team includes JB Bauersfeld,  Patrick Daly,  Russ Gooberman, Stephen Ji, Martin Mandela Marrow, Aubrie Alexander, Stephanie Pressman, & Alex Salem. Find out more on their website.

Blockbuster will perform another condensed BLOCKBUSTER movie that has never been seen before – live! No computer-generated imagery, no pyrotechnics, no special effects; just the raw intensity of your favorite Hollywood movie. Last month they created an epic sports movie entitled “Balls to the Walls.” Come see what they create next. This time around regulars Mark D. Allen, Kerry Knuppe, Jerry Witt and Jon Thompson will be joined by special guest star, Joey Greer.

Tickets are just 6 bucks and the Westside Comedy Theater has a wide selection of beer and wine.
